Hello, Cherie?

Happy Friday! I'm deviating a little bit from the normal routine today. I thought I'd share a hysterical blog I came across yesterday aptly titled Hello, Cherie? For the last twelve years, the author has claimed the screen name Cherie at AOL. For some reason though, she is constantly mistaken for the other Cheries of the world, and is barraged on a regular basis with PMs and e-mails from people thinking that she is their Cherie. The really weird thing is that once she informs them that they have the wrong person, they are surprisingly insistent that she is wrong. It's really the weirdest thing, but actually quite entertaining at the same time. It's also very worth checking out!

Snow Bunny Bronze

I stepped into the new neighborhood ULTA last Sunday for some pretty new treats, and found the most amazing brozer from Too Faced Cosmetics. The color pallette used in the Snow Bunny bronzer compact is abolutely perfect! It gave my skin an a beautiful glow that lasted the rest of the evening.

The Perfect Picnic

One of the best presents I've ever gotten has been a fully loaded picnic basket. Much like this picnic basket from Williams-Sonoma, it came with plates, silverware, napkins, glasses and stemware. This one is actually a bit cooler - literally. It actually comes equipped with an insulated food cooler and an insulated wine tote. It's really the only way to enjoy a sophisticated, impromptu outdoor meal. While it might be a bit hot for a picnic in the desert, the early fall weather should be perfect for an intimate little gathering in other parts of the world.

I'm With the Band

Right now I'm growing my hair out, and I think I might be going crazy. I can't stand the short to long transition period. It's just so tough to look really put together. My hair is really fine and smooth, and it's not quite long enough for a ponytail or anything else just yet. My solution for now? Headbands! I especially love this crystal studded patent navy leather headband from Cara Couture. The color and details are so cool and modern! It might just be the perfect thing to get me through my last few months of transition hair.

Sugar Lips

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I am a self-proclaimed lip balm addict. I just can't stop - especially during the gruelling summers here in the southwest. I have to say though, I've always preferred balms that give my lips a little protection from the sun. On a recent trip to Sephora to pick up a few items, I came across Sugar Lip Balm from Fresh. When I saw the SPF 15 rating in huge letters on the side of the box, I had to test it. It's a little lemony, and exquisitely moisturizing. I also love the matte coppery twist tube. Not surprisingly, it's the newest addition to my vast arsenal of balm.

The Great Pyramids

For a while I was going through a huge earring phase, but have been looking into grabbing a pair of cool studs recently. I hit the jackpot when I found these pyramid studs from Bing Bang. I love gold accessories, and they combine the elements of edgy and sleek perfectly.

The Art of Chocolate

Mmmmm... Don't these unique chocolates from MariBelle look delectably gorgeous? I can only imagine how a wild berry or champagne infused ganache would taste. I think my biggest problem would be taking a bite - who wants to ruin the imagery? But then again, maybe that's the genius. Perhaps it's a sneaky way to incorporate a little portion control? ;)

B+N Carnaby Crazy

I came across a site from a design and manufacturing company named B+N Industries, and I have to say that I am drooling right now... Isn't the most amazing wall paneling you've ever seen? There's actually several to check out on the site, but this was my favorite. They are all so uncommonly exquisite, and as the name suggests, iconic.

Massage Envy

I know this thing may look a little weird, but it's actually one of the most awesome things ever. It's the roller ball massager from True Blue Spa, and is available at Bath & Body Works. I found mind while I was in one of the brick and mortar shops a while ago, and had to swipe one up immediately. It's pure heaven for sore, tired muscles.

Maybe Sparrow

I found these sweet little handcrafted sparrow earrings at a cute little boutique called Catbird NYC. I think the mixed metals element is genius. They're available in sterling silver, 14k gold, or oxidized silver (shown).

Clutch Divine

Now this is pure gorgeous if I ever saw it. The Theresa clutch from Isabella Fiore possesses the most exquisite detailing. With touches of crushed Italian patent leather trim, and bold floral prints, this piece is an instant classic.

Gorgeous Self-Portraits

Ever wanted to take part in a daily self-portrait series? Or perhaps you secretly channel Narcissus when no one's looking? In any case, I think I've found just the thing for you. This super cool laser detailed portrait mirror. This shiny number is crafted from acrylic, so a little tumble won't bring bad luck.

Well Seasoned

These doves are the most modern and chic little salt and pepper shakers I've ever seen. Aren't these little guys adorable? I bet you could even get away with using them as accents in other areas of your house besides the kitchen or dining area.

Posh Pearls

This gorgeous little bracelet is the newest addition to my site. I combined these ultra-lush, voluptuous lavender pearls knotted on gray silk with an oversized infinity clasp. The result? A truly timeless piece. As always, I tried it on after I made it, and to be honest, I didn't want to take it off. There's just something so nice about the drape and feel of a strand of pearls on silk. Not only is this the newest addition to my site, but it's also the newest addition to my personal jewelry stash.
